Thank you for agreeing to share your knowledge with the urologic community at the 2016 AUA Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA. As a speaker, your expertise and talents are invaluable to the educational experience of our meeting attendees.

Registration and Housing

All speakers and moderators are required to register for the Annual Meeting and make their own hotel and travel arrangements.

Speaker Guidelines for Industry Presentations

As recommended by the AUA Education Council, the AUA Board of Directors has approved guidelines regarding speaker/faculty participation at industry exhibits or events during the AUA Annual Meeting.

Preparing Your Presentation

Your slide presentation should follow this basic outline:

  • Slide #1: Title Slide
  • Slide #2: Disclosure Slide
  • List all commercial relationships relevant to your specific talk

Upload Your Presentation

Presentations can be submitted in advance of the meeting by visiting the presentation upload site. If you do not know your access key, you may select "Lost your access key" and enter in your email address to have it sent to you. If you have any questions about logging in, please email speakers@AUAnet.org.

You may also submit your presentation onsite in San Diego in the Speaker Ready Room, Room 5 in the San Diego Convention Center.

Speaker Check-in

  • Speakers are required to check-in 24 hours prior to their scheduled presentation.
  • The computers in the Speaker Ready Room will be configured with hardware and software exactly like the computer in the meeting rooms.
  • Always review your presentation in the Speaker Ready Room especially if it contains video files, or if it was created on an Apple computer.
  • Once you are comfortable that your presentation is complete, inform the Speaker Ready Room technician that your presentation is ready to be uploaded to the central server.
  • Confirm the date, time, and room for your session.
  • Be sure to check-out of the Speaker Ready Room before leaving.
  • To access your file(s) on the server for subsequent viewing/edits, you must provide appropriate I.D. (i.e., driver's license) to access/checkout the file. When completed, inform the technician of any changes so the file can be uploaded to the server and the old version removed.
